Meet the Faculty

Richard Paley, M.D., F.A.C.E.P.
Medical Director
Dr. Paley the co-founder of EMS Academy, has been active in the South Florida EMS community as the Medical Director for the City of Deerfield Beach and the City of Lighthouse Point Fire Rescue services.  He practices Emergency Medicine and is the Assistant Medical Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine at North Broward Medical Center, a level 2 trauma center in Broward County, Florida.  He is also an Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Frank Galgano, B.A., REMT-P
Program Director
Mr. Galgano, the founder of EMS Academy has over thirteen years of emergency command management and pre-hospital teaching experience.  He is a former EMS Battalion Chief for the City of Lighthouse Point Fire Rescue who continues to provide consulting services for EMS education and management in South Florida. It is his vision of compassionate education directed to the individual learner that has become the guiding principle of EMS Academy.

Chad Brocato, DHS, REMT-P
Advisory Consultant
Dr. Brocato, a co-founder of EMS Academy has been an innovator in methods of teaching and learning, especially as it applies to the prehospital sciences.  Recognized as a leader in EMS training in South Florida, he has designed numerous aids and techniques to promote EMS learning which are unique to EMS Academy.
