On-Line Continuing Education Program

Overview:
Our web-based continuing education programs feature a
modular design that deliver training in a three-step process. First, the
learner reads a comprehensive article. Since the module begins with
reading material, we are targeting the visual learner from the onset.
Second, the participant views a narrated slideshow that is completely interactive with
user control over the pace of the lesson. Accompanying each of the
slides is a note section that can be accessed to view the text while
listening to the presenter. Each slide can be rewound to review
information or to capture a key point that was missed. Along the
course of the instruction the learner will be posed several questions
to ensure that the course objectives are being delivered. The narrated
slideshow targets all three learning styles - visual, auditory and
kinesthetic. The third part of the modular training involves
completing a scenario that is based on the first two parts of the
module. In the last part of the module the participant applies what
has been taught.
Once the module is completed, a post-test must be
passed to demonstrate competency. Each test is multiple choice with an
average of 15-20 questions per exam.
Credible:
Each module is written by both a paramedic and
physician to ensure up-to-date and accurate information delivered at
an understandable level.
Unique:
No other
program to date offers a slideshow that is completely narrated with an
interactive scenario for application of knowledge. This format is
designed for the three predominant learning styles - auditory, visual
and kinesthetic.
Ease of
Use:
The training
is completely autonomous allowing the user to learn at a pace that is
appropriate. Each slide can be rewound, paused or fast forwarded to
accommodate the user.
